“Should I be content?”
Sometimes compromises are made.
We have been taught to compromise since childhood.
“Be kind”, “Think of others”, “It is better to avoid conflicts”, “Be grateful for what you already have”…
These thoughts, which we have been told since we were children, seem right and harmless to us.
YES AND NO: they are supernatural, because we use them as a shield to avoid expressing who we really are.
Thoughts create our reality.
YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE YOUR THOUGHTS CONSCIOUSLY.
But how do you know if a thought is good or not?
CHECK YOUR EMOTIONS.
How do you feel when you say to yourself “We must think of others”?
If you feel oppressed, that you have the impression that you have become oblivious, that you no longer exist, that you no longer take care of yourself in order to serve your loved ones, your colleagues, the others…
THIS IS NOT A GOOD THOUGHT.
Be curious: what is behind this?
Often the real thought is “I am not worth enough”.
And that’s why you put yourself at the service of others.
Because you seek their approval to feel better, useful, alive.
Because you expect others to tell you that you are valuable.
